Injustice

It must be a sad world where a nation, feigning a threat from another nation would simply attack that nation and create destruction and mayhem, completely disregarding world opinion.
It should be noted that the attacking nations are not "The International Community", but rather, two old colonials who are at the old game of resource theft.
The world has changed from the days of the early 1920's or earlier. There are now more greedy colonials but there are also more of those who will resist. Then, the powerful will threaten the less powerful with death, but that policy has been totally confounded by the advent of the suicide bomber. So we create hell for the bomber's family and their neighborhood.
We now destroy their house, degrade, debase, humiliate and "smoke 'em out" their families. We are civilized. "They hate our freedom."
